33 new songs for SingStore tomorrow

That's Friday night sorted.

Sony's SingStar wizards are preparing to conjure another 18 English language songs and 15 for other European gamers as part of tomorrow's SingStore update.

Who knows what constitutes a highlight in the super-subjective world of music appreciation, but ones we recognise include "Hey Ya!" by Outkast, "Coffee & TV" by Blur, "Nancy Boy" by Placebo and "She Bangs The Drums" by The Stone Roses.

There's also "Dialectos da Ternura" by Da Weasel for our Eurogamer's growing Portuguese contingent and "Aller plus haut" from Tina Arena for France.

Songs on the SingStore cost GBP 0.99 / EUR 1.49.

Cofee & TV and Nancy Boy would be quite good fun.

Am I mistaken or are a load of these songs already on the Singstore? Coffee & TV by Blur....Fix You by Coldplay... She Bangs the Drums by Stone Roses and a few others I have already got. I'm confused.

i got quite excited at the thought of another week of post pub singing and abusing my credit card on singstar, until i realised that as said above, its a load of songs on the first singstar disc?! and the ones that aren't are by bands as terribly....terribly appalling as The Rasmus. when they got bottled off stage at Reading a few years ago i laughed. Now to bottle my Playstation. or just not buy them. yeah thats a better idea.

One thing that bothers me about Singstar. What happened to Videos in HD? That was a promise I remember beeing banded around. All the videos are is SD!

andywilkie35, there are people who like The Rasmus you know..and anyone who bottles a band at Reading are immature, losers who should grow-up and by the sounds of it, you should too, your opinion is that there terrible..i can tell you alot of people in Europe would sincerely disagree but obviously you think there crap..so they must be...

Yes, how dare you forget about the deaf community who enjoy Singster!

In all seriousness though The Rasmus are abysmal.

hey i didn't say i bottled them, i'd never do such a thing. its just that the last people to get bottled at Reading were Daphne and Celeste, thats why i laughed!

whatever, i don't know why i honestly cared about your opinions in the first place..

Most of these are on Singstar Vol 1 as well as the previous PS2 Singstar games - The Offsprings Self-Esteem was on Singstar Rocks.
I'm getting fed up of this now because the songs sony are putting on here blow big time. They should start thinking about us female gamers, I'm sure that we're the bulk of Singstars audience - it'll be more popular with the ladies than the chaps surely.
I suppose they're saving the good songs for the more popular PS2 versions - maybe I should forget about the PS3 versions all together.

    Sexist.

Anyway The Tings Tings are on this update. That will do you until they put a song about shoes on there ;)

Whatever kinky_mong - I make a valid point. I'd rather sing along to Britney than Coldplay anyday - they make me go to sleep they are THAT boring.
