Trine 3 is due next week on Steam Early Access

Costs £14.99, but only includes the first two maps.

Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power is coming to Steam Early Access on 21st April.

Priced at £14.99 / €19.99 / $19.99, this Early Access build will only include the first two maps of the upcoming adventure, which developer Frozenbyte expects will last six or seven hours in the full version. This early build will contain local and online co-op, though the developer noted that online co-op is still a bit buggy, an issue it's hoping to iron out in the months between now and the game's eventual release this summer or autumn.

Trine 3 will be the first game in the series set in a full 3D environment. Previously the series used 3D assets, but locked gameplay to a 2D plane. Otherwise your trio of characters - Pontius the Knight, Zoya the Thief, and Amadeus the Wizard - remain the same as they ever were, bashing, swinging, and telekinetically altering their way to save the kingdom.

Take a gander at Trine 3's current build in the Early Access trailer below.
