Valve investigates the personal side of eSports in a new Dota 2 documentary

What it takes to win the $1 million prize.

Dota 2 developer Valve will chronicle the journey of several hopeful eSports stars in a new documentary.

The film will follow the exploits of players who entered The International 2011, last year's huge Dota 2 tournament. This offered the biggest prize fund in eSports history - a cool $1 million for the winning team.

You'll also find out some of their personal stories, and discover how their families react to them playing computer games for a living (some of them, not so well).

Valve lists the Dota 2 documentary as "coming soon" - it will likely arrive in preparation for this year's big event. The International 2012 is set to take place in Seattle from 31st August until 2nd September.
