Witcher dev making two "AAA+" games for 2014/15

One is new IP.

The Witcher 2 developer CD Projekt is making two blockbuster "AAA+" games for 2014/2015, the company has confirmed to Eurogamer.

One of those will be new IP.

Which suggests the other is The Witcher 3.

The Witcher 2 will be released on Xbox 360 in Q1 2012, CDP clarified.

CDP also said there will be two "A"-level (the lowest, behind "AAA+" and "AA") games released in 2012. But what these are isn't clear. Could one be a Complete Edition of The Witcher 2 (a similar edition was released for The Witcher 1)? Could the other be The Witcher 2 on PS3?

CDP will release an "AA" game in 2013, the company confirmed. Again, there's no word on what this is. Could it be an expansion to The Witcher 2?

There has been suggestions of a Witcher 2 expansion and a Witcher 3 project before.

CD Project was clarifying to Eurogamer unclear reports of the CD Projekt Investor's Day conference.

How do you pronoumce AAA anyway? Do you call it "Three A's", or actually "A A A".

2014/15 is very far away for either Witcher 3 or any other AAA title made from them.If they can deliver on both of them,they will join the pantheon of great game developers,since their last try was a masterpiece!

2014? cmon...they said they got a new engine now and they will be able to put out a new game faster...again 3 years per game? if this was an insane open world like Skyrim i would understand , but Witcher is another type of game (and we love it for that, they dont all need to be open world, dont get me wrong).

Its just...I liked the witcher series I played and finished both games and loved em, but 2014 ..man. Things change alot in a man life in 3 years, now I dont expect anual things like CoD and AC but still. Id like to finish the series before I have a full time job and a family to take care off. If i already played the first 2 i might aswell know how the story ends. Please make it 2013

Witcher 2 was an amazing game. Its definitely in my top 5. I still boot up saves regularly just to walk around. I respect CD Projekt more than any other dev, and hope their new ip is an unrestricted freeroam game with the AI and tech found in Witcher 2.

@Belmonth 2013 would be cool for The Witcher 3 but CDP don't have the financial clout and backing of other studios + the care and attention they give their games and fans is worth the wait. The Witcher series will never get noticed like Skyrim and other huge budget games but, like Metro 2033, it has a strong group of loyal followers who are appreciated.

I realize it's just a tiny picture no one can see unless they already know it, but the picture for this on the main site is an OLD one and before they overhauled gerald's face. It would bug me less if I saw it blown up less around the internet elsewhere, but I guess this is just nerdy and inside baseball at this point.

@Belmonth, CD Projekt is a small company (when you compare it to Bethesda), add to the fact that they aren't backed by big shot organisations like EA or activation etc. they don't have the finances and people to release games yearly.

Also for their other game, I remember a game they had to put on hold called "They", could it be that they are going back to it?
