Battlefield 3 release date announced
It's coming our way in October.
Electronic Arts has announced a release date for PC and console effort Battlefield 3.
It'll hit the shops on 25 October this year, according to the press release. Presumably that means American shops, as 25th October is a Tuesday. Games are released on Fridays in the UK, so we could be looking at 28th October over here.
Battlefield 3 is looking very exciting indeed, what with the brand new Frostbite 2 game engine in full effect and co-operation from veteran balaclava-wearer Andy McNab.
If you can't wait till October to play it, better get yourself a ticket to the Eurogamer Expo. Battlefield 3 will be fully playable there along with all sorts of other business.
Frostbite 2: graphics so cool your eyes may literally freeze and drop off.
