Crysis 2 Retaliation DLC date, details
Map Pack packs four new for you.
The Retaliation Map Pack for Crysis 2 will be released on 17th May, a new EA video has confirmed.
This is the date for all three platforms: PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Obviously the PS3 release is dependent on the PlayStation Store being back in working order.
Added in Retaliation will be four new maps: Park Avenue, Transit, Shipyard and Compound.

I don't get map packs anyway TBH, all they do is split the community. Surely that's actually a bad thing?

Not sure I can be bothered to go back to it and level up even if those issues are fixed as there are plenty of other good games to occupy my time with.
If EA/Crytek want to build up more of a MP community for Crysis (for future titles) they should really just give these maps away for free as they are trying to tease people away from entrenched titles like COD.

There was a weapon & mods balancing patch but the lag & hitbox detection are still present.
A shame really, this game had so much potential...

Sorry, I deleted my comment before you replied, as I wasn't entirely sure of my own assertion that it was Crytek's most successful release yet. However since Crysis sales were something of a slow burn, I think Crytek would consider that label probably still applies, as it beat out Dead Space 2 and Dragon Age 2 apparently.
But I don't really know, which is why I had deleted my comment
There was probably some of my own bias in there too, as Crysis 2 was soooo disappointing after the release of Crysis four years ago. Never have a seen a game series move backwards quite so fast.

However, I wont buy these UNTIL they fix the graphical bug on 360 and the sound issues in the multiplayer lobbies. Fortunately, I dont have much to complain about connection wise.
