A new update for the PC version of Portal 2 hit Steam over the weekend.

You might want to spoiler that.

So good that I'm going to play through it again ... And in an age where there's little enough time to play through most games once, this speaks volumes about the quality. Genius.

I didn't experience any problems in playing through it (twice) though...seems like more to do with Macs and older hardware. Ok there was one problem...I enjoyed it too much and it felt too short (especially after completing the second play through). On the plus side that up and coming DLC should hope to fuel my thirst for more.

It seemed to crash for me a LOT around areas where there was lots of paint on the screen.

But cant complain - reboots helped lengthen the game.

Yes, rush the PS3 patch out.

Question: how will you download it?

As far as the actual game goes, I completed the single-player yesterday. I didn't get any problems and enjoyed just about every minute of it. I really enjoy those stomach-wrenching leaps from really high up to then fire across a big gap. You know you're getting blasé when you wait until the last second to fire the entry portal. :)

From what I gather the Update service is separate from PSN, and so has been running throughout the whole escapade. Not sure whether it's available for individual games specifically as I don't have a PS3, but other people have been reporting game updates getting through since it doesn't update until you've signed out of PSN anyway.

Not sure whether they had planed to update this one via the regular update or through Steamworks though. Presumably if it were through Steamworks it seems to rely on PSN to get the two connected, so in that case your point stands.

But nobody would have known it was a spoiler until you pointed it out.
