Deus Ex: Human Revolution Collector's Ed

Adam Jensen action figurine!

Square Enix has revealed the innards of the Deus Ex: Human Revolution Collector's Edition.

It includes:

  • Highly collectable Adam Jensen action figurine designed by Play Arts Kai.
  • Explosive Mission Pack: An entirely new mission with a special cameo appearance from one of the original Deus Ex characters.
  • Exclusive in-game weapons: Automatic Unlocking Device, M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED), Linebacker G-87 multiple shot grenade launcher, Huntsman Silverback Double-Barrel Shotgun, SERSR Longsword Whisperhead silenced sniper rifle.
  • 10,000 extra credits to buy or upgrade weapons.
  • DVD featuring a 44-minute "making of" special, 30-minute game soundtrack, motion-comic (adapted from DC Comics' official series), E3 trailer and animated storyboard.
  • 40-page art book.

The Collector's Edition, which Square Enix describes as "extremely limited", goes on sale alongside the standard version and Augmented Edition of the game in Europe on 26th August.

Eurogamer last saw the science fiction role-playing shooter in February. Our Deus Ex: Human Revolution preview reveals all.

To me that's an incentive not to but the collectors edition. Sounds slightly game breaking....

How is this different from the augemented editon bar the figurine.

    Taken from gamestations website:

    Bonus Mission
    In-Game Automatic Unlocking Device
    In-Game M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED)
In-Game Linebacker G-87 Multiple Shot Grenade Launcher
In-Game 10,000 Extra Credits to Buy or Upgrade Weapons
    In-Game Huntsman Silverback Double-Barrel Shotgun
In-Game SERSR Longsword Whisperhead Silenced Sniper Rifle
    "Making Of" DVD
    Game Soundtrack
    Motion-Comic
    40-Page Art Book

Seems like most of the same stuff to me..

Just what i was thinking - pretty much the same bar the action figure. I've had the augmented edition on order for a while - well, when you delay a game by six months that can happen - and I've got no real desire to cancel that order to get this instead.

    Cool box art.

I'd be interested in the art book, but the rest of it ... not so much...

These 'highly collectable' packs don't half seem to sit on shelves forever.

I saw a COD pack with the night vision in HMV the other day.

I'm a sucker for collectors editions but the additional unlocks are usually pointless once you get in game, the art book is looked at once and the action figure collects dust. Bonus mission sounds cool but will turn up as DLC.

Happy to just play the game, not subsidise the publisher's Ferrari collection.

For no reason but that this is PAL region exclusive; I'm having it. Seriously, fuck America. They usually get all the sweet (overpriced, useless but desirable) collectors editions and we get squat.

Now we'll just wait a day or two for the US only ULTIMATE edition to be annouced (comes with actual bionic arm and home installation kit).
