New Red Dead Redemption DLC next week

Pre-order incentives now available to all.

Various in-game extras offered as pre-order incentives for Red Dead Redemption are available to all as of next week, developer Rockstar Games has announced.

Three separate packs will be added to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live from 12th April, each priced at $0.99 / 80 Microsoft Points.

The Deadly Assassin Outfit causes your Dead Eye meter to regenerate at twice the speed, the Golden Guns Weapon Pack rewards you with more Fame points for each kill in the single player campaign and War Horse gives you the strongest, fastest steed in the game.

"Apologies to everyone for having to wait so long to get these available as DLC as there were some unanticipated technical delays," explained a post on the game's official site.

"For those of you inquiring about the expected availability of the L.A. Noire pre-order bonuses as DLC after game release, those should become available as DLC much, much sooner."

This pack makes me think that people have difficulty with RDR.

Playing the Undead Pack on the M$ offer got me back into RDR after I completed the main game.I forgot how sweet it is.And
how Rockstar cram in stuff for their DLC.

  • metallicorphan #8 1 year ago

replaying Red Dead Redemption and having a great time all over a again, just got to Tall Trees, and i still have the undead nightmare to play

these pre-order DLC packs are probably coming out because i heard the GOTY edition is on its way...i know Amazon had the GOTY guide due for the 18th of this month which has now got a new place holder date for Sept 2011

    @CamberGreber

Probably it will come to PC but I would not expect it any time soon. I think they concentrate on LA Noire and Max Payne 3.
I think somwhere at the end of the year maybe cristmas or at best at the end of summer.

I've got my fingers crossed but this delay is unprecendented. I don't think there's ever been a 12-month gap between a consolePC release for a Rockstar game. Either they are too busy with the other stuff or don't want to bring RDR to PC. Can you imagine trying to control a horse/lasso with a keyboard?
  • gooner77 #11 1 year ago

Hope there is a goty version as I'm definitely getting it
  • menage #12 1 year ago

I also jumped a little, then I was dissapointed. Would looooooove some more SP content. Like Bioware games, so much more potential left unexplored.

I don't think a pc version will ever happen.

Why not just give us this shit for free?
  • Daikon #14 1 year ago

    I love my War Horse.
  • MrEuroTrigger #15 1 year ago

Releasing RDR on the PC would be the best DLC ever. :D I wouldn´t mind pay a 50 GBP for that.
  • Boomerang #16 1 year ago

I managed to get all these free in the copy i picked up a few weeks ago. Cleared RDR to 100% last night. Utterly love it.

I'll say again: I would LOVE to enjoy this in all its glory on the PC. Please Rockstar, make it happen.

    /not hopeful

Considering how Rockstar treated PC gamers like criminals with that bug-ridden, multi DRM-laden lagfest known as GTA IV, does anyone really care if there'll be a PC version of RDR or not?
  • Inmediasress #19 1 year ago

    @uknortherner2000

Well I do since I don't own consoles and that won't change anytime soon tough I agree on the point that GTA4 was a piece of ***

uknortherner2000: Oh I care. I do own PS3 but only for some of console exclusive games. I buy 90% of games for PC, because its a way of playing that suits me the best. So I eventually go for RDR PS3, but really hope that at least LA Noire will be for PC.
  • TRUTH #21 1 year ago

Is it me or large sandbox games like RDR, AC, GTA, all very good until about 4hrs inn; after that it seems you're just repeating the same missions and side-quest and all missions can be achieved the same way in most cases!...here's hoping this DLC bring a bit more variety.
  • Spong #22 1 year ago

Faster Dead Eye regeneration? Extra fame points per kill? Spawn the best horse in the game?

So now we're expected to pay for, what are essentially, cheats?
  • Moribundman #23 1 year ago

Ah the merits of a capitalist free market economy, and western freedom of speech... Now we have scammers trying to out-pitch each other on the same forum.
  • Rack #24 1 year ago

I hate crap like this, the game would be better for a faster horse and less faffing about with chewing tobacco but selling cheats is pretty scabby behaviour. These things really should have been made available in game.

@A3RO_DYNAMIK "I have a problem with the damn waiting around all the time for bloody beavers and horses of the apocalypse etc. Tarnishes a really good game IMO."

There's a deserted shack in the northern part of Tall Trees by the river. Opposite the door to the shack is a slope, and beavers seem to spawn on there constantly and you can bag your quota in no time at all.
