Nintendo 3DS price drop at Morrisons

Pre-order to get it for 187.

The Nintendo 3DS price war ramped up this morning after supermarket Morrisons listed the handheld for an eye-catching 187.

It is the latest price drop in a retailer scramble that can only benefit consumers.

Morrisons' Nintendo 3DS price, spotted by Official Nintendo Magazine, is the cheapest available.

To get it for 187, though, you have to pre-order and hand over a 10 deposit.

"Nintendo 3DS consoles are available to collect in store from the 25th March," the supermarket said.

"All pre-order consoles must be collected by Thursday the 31st March, after which your order will be cancelled and your deposit refunded. A 10 deposit is required when pre-ordering the Nintendo 3DS."

UK shops are scrambling to get your business in what is expected to be the biggest game console launch ever.

Shop GAME will give you a trade-in price of 190 on the 196.99 Nintendo 3DS if you bring it back within a month of buying it.

If you want to trade for cash, you'll get 180 effectively meaning the Nintendo 3DS, which goes on sale on 25th March, costs 17 to rent for a month from GAME.

Will a shop dare to go below 187?
