Your awards are good for Guild Wars 2.

Any awards or achievements you picked up in the original Guild Wars can be cashed in for new items in Guild Wars 2, developer ArenaNet has announced.

Confirmed goodies in the sequel to the popular MMORPG include new animal companions, weapons, armour pieces and miniatures.

If you enter your old character name into the Hall of Monuments Reward Calculator on the game's official site, you can find out exactly what's coming your way when you log in to the forthcoming sequel.

Guild Wars 2 launches some time in 2011 on PC. Check out Eurogamer's recent interview with the game's lead designer Eric Flannum for more on how the sequel is shaping up.

I always though it would be Diablo III that lures me back off the couch to ye olde keyboard/mouse gaming.

But Guild Wars 2 could well beat it to it.

ArenaNet are reaching bungie like levels of fan/community support with the original GW still - and this news just cements that.

non-subscription mmo's FTW!

Thats a great idea, the amount of MMOs ive left and couldnt help but think "all that time has now gone to waste".

Why with every piece of information I read about guild Wars 2 I think; These guys get it.
I hope they get bigger and start making and releasing more games.

Guild Wars is best ever.

And eye of the north is on discount, finally the time to finish the saga.

Tell you what though, I'm gonna feel gutted if after all the play I've put into it, I find I didn't do all these special accomplishments.

Might have to resurrect my old Guild Wars character for this. Old Gothmog thought I'd finished with him a while back.
Cracking game though Guild Wars. Huge amount of gaming for very little cash.

Just checked the reward calculator and it's not good reading. Looks like I'll be heading back to Guild Wars to fill up my Hall... lots to do for some of those rewards!

Well I've got it up to level 5 so far so got the whole armour set. That is just from having the campaigns and finishing two of the stories. So finishing Nightfall and actually finishing Eye of the North so I can put up my heroes and miniatures so I think it is a good haul. I'm happy!
