Halo: Reach played 70 million times

It's quite popular.

Bungie has just released some insane play statistics for Halo: Reach's first week in the wild.

According to a post on Bungie.net, the game has been played 70 million times, translating to 5901 years of combined playtime.

More than two million files have been uploaded to File Shares, 165 billion credits have been earned, 20 million daily challenges have been completed and 709,840 weekly challenges have been completed.

Not only that but it smashed Halo 3's record for concurrent unique online users by a 65 per cent margin. It goes without saying that it's been the number one most played title on Xbox Live since launch.

We can't say we're surprised. As Oli Welsh's 9/10 review plainly sets out, it's all kinds of brilliant.
