Sega legend Yu Suzuki, creator of Shenmue, Virtua Fighter, Out Run and Hang-on, has signed on to a new Kinect fighting game for Xbox 360.

A fighting game for Kinect? Secure all your valuable living room furniture.

Suzuki has joined the project's Japanese developers Premium Agency in an advisary role, according to Develop.

"I've been [interested in] the idea of integration of technology and entertainment faithfully as a game producer," said Suzuki.

It would be a first for Kinect to have a fighting-based title entirely controlled by the motion sensing camera.

Premium Agency has experience in the fighting genre - the studio has previously worked on Naruto titles.

Suzuki will also advise on several other Premium Agency developed social and mobile projects. It's unknown what impact this will have on his long-term relationship with Sega.
