Square Enix has just announced Dissidia duodecim prologus Final Fantasy a spin-off of forthcoming franchise spin-off Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy.

New characters confirmed for Dissidia012

Prishe, the non-playable character from Final Fantasy XI, is in PSP section game Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy, Square Enix has announced.

Prishe is a young Elvaan who played a starring role in the Chains of Promathia expansion to the MMORPG. She swears a lot, apparently, and is similar to FFVII's Tifa in terms of fighting style.

Also included is Gilgamesh from Final Fantasy V, who joins the Chaos side.

Dissidia sequel confirmed for Europe

The sequel to PSP-exclusive Final Fantasy fighting game spin-off Dissidia will be released in Europe, Square Enix has announced.

The wonderfully named Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy will hit European PSPs some time next year.

Like its predecessor, Duodecim is a cross between a 3D fighting game and an RPG, and features a roster of heroes and villains lifted from the Final Fantasy series.

Square Enix has given us a first taste of Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy, the follow-up to last year's PSP brawler Dissidia: Final Fantasy.

A Tokyo Game Show teaser site is now live showing off a handful of screens featuring Kain Highwind (from FFIV) and Lightning (from FFXIII) going toe to toe. Garland (FF), Cecil Harvey (FFIV) and Kuja (FFIX) are also been confirmed.

No word yet on who else will join them on the roster or what gameplay tweaks Squeenix has up its sleeves, but expect more news when the Tokyo Game Show gets underway later this week.
