Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse announced

Activision tie-in due on consoles this Autumn.

Cartoon tie-in Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse launches on consoles this Autumn, Activision has announced.

A barebones announcement from the publisher failed to deliver any further pertinent information, other than that it's an "interactive Family Guy experience" and the show's original voice cast are all on board.

Acti won't have to put in too much effort to surpass the show's first attempt at a video game crossover. Take Two's 2006 PlayStation 2/Xbox effort limped to a 3/10 at the hands of Eurogamer's Dan Whitehead.

"You wouldn't think it possible, but cartoon games have an even worse track record than film adaptations. South Park, Futurama, The Simpsons - all have debased themselves thoroughly when making the leap from telly to joypad," read his Family Guy review.

"And yet even by those low standards, Family Guy is a pretty desperate experience."
