Development on Z.O.E. 3 pushed back

Kojima deciding whether to do MGS5.

Hideo Kojima has said he's put the brakes on Zone of the Enders 3, despite promising a third instalment just last year.

A Japanese magazine article (translated by Kotaku) says Kojima's staff got all excited when he mentioned Z.O.E. 3 back in October. Apparently they kept asking him when production would start and whether they could join the team. But Kojima told them to wait, saying he's not ready to start work on the game.

Instead, he's currently deciding whether to work on Metal Gear Solid 5 or a brand new title, one which will feature elements it wasn't possible to implement in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. "Kojima-san doesn't have to make Metal Gear any more," apparently.

So how long will it take for Kojima to knock up this new effort? "If I get moving, quick," he told the magazine.
