Darkspore release date pushed back

Maxis incorporating beta feedback.

Darkspore, the PC RPG spin-off from Will Wright's ambitious 2008 evolution sim Spore, will now launch on 28th April, developer Maxis has announced.

The game was originally scheduled to arrive on 29th March but Maxis today announced, via the game's official website, that it needed more time to make final tweaks following a recent beta test.

"We've received really positive feedback about the game, as well as some suggestions of things you'd like to see. We're really close, but in order to make the best game possible, the team has decided to take additional time to incorporate more of your feedback," read a forum post from one of the game's developers.

The post also promised further beta tests before the final release date, including an open beta in April.
