HyperX PC gaming peripherals are discounted on Amazon US today
Up to 30 per cent off on gaming headsets, keyboards and more.
Amazon's deal of the day is a great one for PC gamers, with a motherlode of HyperX accessories available at deep discounts to American customers. The deals include two of our favourite budget gaming headsets, a top-notch mechanical keyboard and a highly rated mouse. It's not just peripherals either, with Kingston RAM and HyperX SSDs also included for this one-day sale. First up: gaming headsets. HyperX made their mark with the incredibly popular Cloud II a few years ago, and since then they've gone from strength to strength. Included in the sale are a few of these newer additions, including the HyperX Cloud Flight, the company's first wireless gaming headset (now $100, was $160) and our favourite budget gaming headset, the Cloud Stinger ($40, was $50).
The Cloud Stinger Wireless ($75) is basically a combination of the first two headsets we mentioned, and is one of the best choices for a wireless headset if you can't stretch for something like the SteelSeries Arctis 7. Two wired gaming headsets for console are also part of the deals: the Cloud Stinger Core for PS4 ($30) and Cloud Stinger Core for Xbox ($30).
Finally, there are two more PC gaming headsets worth mentioning here. The popular Cloud Revolver ($70, down from $120) and the original Cloud headset ($50, reduced from $80) also see big discounts in the day-long sale.
For other peripherals, we're a big fan of the HyperX Alloy FPS RGB ($80, was $110). After testing this keyboard over a few weeks, we found that it offered a clean design, pretty RGB lighting and extremely responsive Silver Speed switches, making it a very good shout for gaming. If you'd prefer something smaller but no less well-built, then the Alloy FPS Pro ($50, reduced from $70) might be more up your street.
If you fancy some upgraded keycaps for either of those keyboards (or any other keyboard with a standard US layout), HyperX's double shot PBT 'pudding caps' are also on sale ($18). These feel great under your fingers and also provide a very cool look when backlit, so they're worth considering.
Membrane keyboard fans are also catered for with the RGB-resplendent Alloy Core ($35, reduced from $50). HyperX also make some quite reasonable mice, with the excellent optical sensor of the Pulsefire FPS Pro ($40, was $60) making it the pick of the litter.
Let's talk components now. If you've got a laptop that takes DDR4, you can pick up 16GB on the cheap ($93, was $113) or try out a blazing-fast external SSD ($160, from $200). The HyperX Fury 240GB SSD has also been discounted ($75, down from $95).
