Control and Doom Eternal hit Xbox Game Pass

Plus loads more in December.

Microsoft has announced the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in December.

Remedy's Control comes to Game Pass for Android and console on 3rd December (here's Donlan's Control review). Also on that date, id Software's first-person shooter Doom Eternal hits Xbox Game Pass for PC (here's Edwin's Doom Eternal review).

3rd December is a big day for Game Pass: romantic space adventure Haven, from The Game Bakers - the studio behind gloriously psychedelic arcade boss-rush extravaganza Furi - hits the service then for console and PC, as does id Software and Avalanche Studios' Rage 2 on Android.

Slime Rancher (Android and console), Va-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action (PC), and Yes, Your Grace (Android, console and PC) all hit Game Pass on 3rd December, too.

Can anything be done to stop the PS5 and Xbox Series X scalpers?

A day later, on 4th December, Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition comes out on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC (Martin loved it!). This Definitive Edition includes all the content from Dragon Quest 11, plus extra scenarios, a grand orchestral version of the music, the ability to switch between 2D and 3D graphic modes, and a Japanese audio option.

Then, on 8th December, Game Pass gets Call of the Sea (Android, console and PC), Monster Sanctuary (Android and console), and Starbound (PC).

On 9th December, Unto The End (console and PC) hits Game Pass, then on 10th December racing sim Assetto Corsa (Martin loved this one, too!) launches on Game Pass (Android and console). Also on the 10th December, Gang Beasts (Android and console), GreedFall (Android, console and PC), Superhot: Mind Control Delete (Android and console), and, finally, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair (Android, console & PC) all come out on Game Pass.

Microsoft also announced a list of new games that from 3rd December get touch controls on Android. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can play a number of games on Android devices via the cloud. Here's the new games getting Xbox Touch Controls this week:

  • Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
  • Golf With Your Friends
  • Hyperdot
  • Ikenfell
  • Indivisible
  • ScourgeBringer
  • The Touryst
  • Vambrace Cold Soul

As is usually the case, as new games come into Game Pass, existing games leave the subscription service. Here's what's moving on:

Leaving 11th December:

  • eFootball PES 2020 (console)

Leaving 15th December:

  • Age of Wonders: Planetfall (console and PC)
  • Infinifactory (PC)
  • Metro: Last Light Redux (PC)
  • MudRunner (console and PC)
  • Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker (console)
  • Pathologic 2 (console and PC)
  • The Turing Test (console and PC)
  • Ticket to Ride (console and PC)
  • Untitled Goose Game (console)
