The PlayBox is a PS4 and Xbox One combined in a single laptop

And finally, the console war is over.

The PlayBox is a 22" laptop that combines a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One into a single machine.

Ed Zarick, the self-taught engineer who previously produced separate laptop editions of each console, has now combined the two rival machines into one.

Can't choose between Knack and Ryse? Now you don't have to.

The creation is based off of the Xbook Duo, a previous combo-unit he created that packed in an Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

"The PS4 sits on the left hand side of the unit, and the Xbox One is on the right side," Zarick explained in a new blog post. "The whole unit still only takes one power cord (must be plugged in) and only one unit can be powered on at the same time.

"This system took a lot of attempts and reconfiguring to make everything fit and still some things had to be compromised to make the system work, for example it was impossible to get the USB ports on the Xbox to be extended to the outside of the case. But the unit does offer Ethernet ports for both units (WiFi for both units also works), along with HDMI Out."

There's a red switch on the rear of the machine which alternates power between the two consoles, while a smart HDMI switcher inside the machine will automatically change the signal.

Sadly, the PlayBox is not yet for sale - unlike Zarick's separate PlayStation 4 and Xbox One laptops. This unit is, so far, custom made for a specific customer.
