Mario & Sonic London 2012 release date

Under starter's orders this November.

The Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games arrives in stores on 18th November, Sega has announced.

The game, which features a number of new events including football and horse riding, will ship in a special yellow box – pictured below.

You'll have to wait a little longer for the 3DS version though – that goes on sale in February 2012.

The series, which has so far taken in the Beijing and Vancouver Olympiads, has sold a medal-worthy 19 million units to date.

The actual London games kick off in exactly 365 days' time. Got tickets?
