Japanese publisher Tecmo Koei's told Eurogamer it's looking into reports that downloadable content codes for Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage are pumping out the wrong gubbins.

Eurogamer was contacted by a number of readers this morning with complaints that codes given out to those who pre-ordered with shop GAME unlock a costume for the wrong character.

The codes are supposed to unlock character Heart, as well as two new levels. Instead you get a costume for a different character and no new levels.

Reports indicate this is an issue specific to Europe - but it has popped up on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.

Ken's Rage, released on Friday, is based on the head-popping blood-soaked Japanese manga. It plays like a Dynasty Warriors spin-off: there are lots of enemies on screen.
