    I still cannot believe that after five years of Tiger Woods games on the Xbox 360 that EA cannot manage better graphics than that. Jaggies, low-res textures, cartoonish looking players and weak lighting... it really does look like a game stuck in late 2005 to me.

    I'll stick with 2004 thanks, still the best version IMO.

    I think the graphics are quite decent considering the depth of vision in the game. It might be interesting to show them side by side so that you can see the difference between 05 and 11. I play tigerwoods online aswell and I am pretty impressed by the water effects on both. If you are still playing 05 you are playing a massively easier game, the course effects are much more pronounced on the later versions. Even if you go back two years there is no contact deviation on the ball from the lie other than resistance. I am also pretty sure that they are using wind maps now because the water, elevation and tree effects are pretty good on the consoles, the short game is a little ropey though I hope they have improved that in this version.

    So can you still shoot 54, and land up against the lip of a bunker and then your next shot is played out of the middle of the trap ? Can you still regularly knock in 30 footers ? If so, then nothing has changed in ten years. Why oh why is there not a decent alternative ? I'll wait fior JD pro stroke. You never know, it may be worth a punt.
    This particular franchise needs a serious reboot, or an offshoot, where par is actually a pretty decent score. Something a fair bit more realistic would be nice. Having to play left handed if you are up against a tree and having the controls reversed or made harder to swing. Bit more thought and new ideas required.

    As much as I agree with the comments that the TW franchise needs a serious reboot, I cant really blame EA this year for another uninspired yearly update. The whole Tiger's affairs scandal pretty much kicked off mid way through this years development period.

    EA Boss to EA Devs: "Oh my lord, have you seen the news about Tiger?"
    EA Devs: "Err yeah, what do we do?"
    EA Boss: "Errrm..well how far have you got?"
    EA Devs: "Well we've put Rory McIlroy on the front of the box..."
    EA Boss: "Ok, that'll do, ship it!"
