I love John Cleese. He and Stephen Fry are quintessentially English. And funny with it.

Any game with both Stephen Fry and John Cleese is a must have in my opinion. The other voice talents are just the icing on the cake for me.

And the game looks better the more I hear about it. When I'm King of Albion togas will be mandatory.

    @ Bartie
Putting John Cleese and Stephen Fry at the same level is blasphemy!

Molyneux really does have a way of talking up things to make them far more exciting than they actually are, dosn't he? Just make the game properly open world in the same vein as Oblivion is and I'll be happy.

All we need now is Gene Hunt. :D

    @Alatair

If you want an open world then go play Oblivion. Why are most people obsessed about making all their games the same!

You are in charge you can then do what you like... I want to build a church to me.. - cannot do that, I want to kill 10 virgins - cannot do that.. I want to make everyone work like slaves for a year to get loads of cash - cannot do that..... Oh you mean do what 'I' like from a list of things.. Again he is hyping it up, and again we will feel constrained.

If this involves his character whacking his trusty steed with a branch, FIRST DAY BUY!

The Molyneux hate factor is way to low in this thread. Come on people Molyneux has been mentioned!!! Its traditional now to act like he has tried to be inappropriate with your mum.

Should I ever need to return a dead parrot in Albion I'm sure having Cleese around will be a great asset!

Oh my! I'm Python fan but I don't have an Xbox 360 (I bought a PS3 instead)... What can I doooo? ... Argh! Microsoft... you won. I will buy your damn console to play that game and have John Cleese as my personal butler. Pure awsomeness. (Still ARGH! tho...)

Apparently only Molyneux gets taken literally when it is really semantics for anyone else. CALM DOWN.
  • GaryHoward #13 2 years ago

Yay. John Cleese, Stephen Fry and Jonathan Ross all in Fable 3. Jolly good.
  • YenooR #14 2 years ago

Molyneux is a smug bastard and his games are way overrated

Unfortunately my second xbox has passed on! This xbox is no more! It has ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet its maker! It is an ex-xbox! :(
  • kangarootoo #16 2 years ago

Nobody does a sarcastic "unhappy with my lot, meant for better things" character better than Cleese :)
  • Grayvern #17 2 years ago

So zero emotional impact again then. Mixed perhaps with some good comedy as opposed to fable 1 and 2's bad comedy.

I feel that Fable will always be the game series that has no idea what it really wants to be. Peter Molyneux talks about now focusing on making Fable 3 more like an action adventure game, whilst also keeping its RPG lite focus on customisation with little stats.
However looking now at the video it looks like their is some sort of "building management" sim in there. The quirky "open world" style decisions your character usually makes that change little in the actual game world, story, character stats or combat ability.
The story always wants to be tongue in cheek yet serious at the same time with morality and good/evil decisions. It all feels a bit wishy washy and really wish it would just focus on what works best for a medieval fantasy role playing game without dipping in and out of other genres for kicks.
