GT5 is the better looking game in crisp and cleaner 1080p and higher detailed cars (premium) - but FM4 is also great looking.

Impressive.
GT5 has been a let down, It took a while to realise it. I just cant see it getting much better. They should just concentrate on getting GT6 out before the PS4 is out.

Forza cars look good, but the environments look 'flat'

GT5 cars are very shiny and the environments look detailed and the sky looks amazing esp at sunset.

I just noticed that Forza has very basic shadowing of the cars compared to GT5. GT5's shadows move around the cars according to the sun in a correct manner, Forzas barely moves, and looks the same on all cars.

With that said, i love Forza 4! I do love GT5 a tiny bit more though (plus im using Logitech G27 in GT5, amazing fun! Buy!).

Feeling the pressure getting the Fanatec GT2 set so i can use it on all platforms. But my god, it's so god damn expensive :-[

GT5 performance is very solid. People can't tell the difference between 50fps and 60fps. And don't forget the game has MSAAx4 (720p), impressive lighting and realistic car behavior. I'm actually impressed, I think Polyphony optimized the game since the last update.

The tracks seems abit wider in Forza, there seem to be room for 3 cars where GT has room for 2.

Perhaps next time whoever did the test might want yo turn the HUD off in GT5. It may not impact the test at all but seeing that it's off in FM4, it shouldn't be ON in GT5 screen. And yes, you can turn the HUD off in GT5- pausing the race or whenever you're in the car takes you to the quick menu and from there you can turn the HUD off.

To me that's how proper test is conducted- you make sure that everything's equal and then you measure. Failing to do that renders the test inconclusive.

When running at 1080p resolution, GT5 uses Quincunx AA.

Also note, that it's not true 1080p either, it's 1280x1080 that's then scaled, rather than 1920x1080.
