Witcher 2 still needs a publisher
CDProjekt not fussed about leak.
Developer CDProjekt has said The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings still needs a publisher, which suggests that Atari - partner for The Witcher - is now out of the picture, following Rise of the White Wolf disputes.
The news comes from a statement issued by developer boss Adam Kicinski after an internal trailer of the sequel leaked onto the internet overnight.
"Of course, we can't and won't try to deny the facts. The movie that appeared on the various sites yesterday presents our newest project, The Witcher 2, which we've been working on for some time," Kicinski told Voodoo Extreme.
"We made something about half a year ago to present the first playable version of the game. Currently we are looking for a potential publisher (or publishers) for this title, and this leak is an uncontrolled side effect of that process.
"For today, we are not commenting on anything that concerns the game itself," he added.
