Stranglehold maps on Live

Bolster your weapons.

Midway has put new maps for Stranglehold on Live, using its long and rather delicate fingers of giving.

We've told you all of this before, but inside the 1200 Point (GBP 10.20 / EUR 13.96) parcel are ten new multiplayer maps and 21 fresh skins to dress yourself in.

On top of that, and perhaps most importantly, there are ten new unlockable Achievements to work towards, eventually adding 250 Gamerpoints to your tally.

Stranglehold is a beautifully destructive little shooter powered by the cinematic vision of John Woo and voiced by the familiar vocals of Chow Yun Fat. Despite being a little short, there is plenty balletic slow-motion gun slinging to enjoy, plus you can slide down banisters and shoot watermelons.

Stride convincingly over to our Stranglehold review for a solid thumbs up.

    Since Stranglehold has, bar none, the worst multiplayer mode I have ever experienced, I'll pass.

    It is disappointing to see developers trying to make an exceptional wannabe game with "all new" features and movie feeling and whatnot, then a mediocre shooter comes out for the masses...then they even have self confidence to release multi maps for it...

    I bougth it for the new achievements. 1200 points though is way too much for DLC on a game that no one plays online. Money is not an issue for me. But if my economy was tight i would never spend that much on this. "Testikill" is one of the coolest achievements ever though.

    Its not too hard to find online matches but it can take some time finding people that has the new maps. You can get testikill and the other not map related achievements on the old maps as long as you have downloaded the DLC.
