Sony registers inFamous 2 domain

Current affairs.

Sony has registered domain names for inFamous 2 by the looks of it.

That's according to the ever-vigilant superannuation, which has gone mad for the WHOIS database lately, outing THQ and Ubisoft registrations for Red Faction, Assassin's Creed and Driver in recent days.

Sony told Eurogamer it had no comment to make on the registration.

The platform holder has not officially announced a sequel to last year's PS3 openworld superhero game inFamous, but late last year G4TV caught wind of an actor mentioning an audition for the part of Cole McGrath.

The original inFamous saw Cole coming to terms with his electrical superpowers in a city torn apart by an apocalyptic event. We rather liked it, although it had its problems too. Check out our inFamous review.

Played this round a friends. In fact he gave me the controller on a boss fight, not sure where in the game he was. Done the boss fight and completed the game for him.
Anyway, wasn't sure to make of it from that brief stint

I really enjoyed the first game, so this is great news. My only issue with the original was the dreadful quality of the cutscene animations, but if they could polish those up, and maybe add a bit more variety to the side-missions, then this will be brilliant.

    It's a day-one purchase, regardless.

And yes, the ending was bloody brilliant.

Also really enjoyed the first game, despite the lack of polish. I think with enough development time, this has the potential to be a great series.

Loved the ending as well, although not entirely original it was still a shock and certainly sets up an interesting sequel.

Can't wait to see this - loved InFamous - one of my favourite games of the current gen.

+1 to all that enjoyed it :).

Any particular reason why they are swapping Coles voice actor?

Excellent news. I enjoyed the original to bits, mostly because the Bad route was surprisingly 'violent'. I will not spoilt it but some Bad events were surprising, if not shocking :)

Loved the first game, in fact need to get back to playing it again going the evil route.

    Definite day one purchase.

Still need to finish the first one, loved the comic art cut scenes.
Just a really good game, those are nice every once in a while.

Did enjoy the first game, the second playthrough of doing evil, only did a fraction of it and it was telling that I could not finish it.

Checkpointing issues, and also it did get repetitive but had to say brilliant idea and a great potentia of messing around in a sandbox environmentl.

Just need more polish and tightening up for the sequel, will go back and finish one day.

I enjoyed this game until about half way when you could zoom in and shoot people from miles away. Love the stealth and close quarter combat that was possible, also jumping off building and knocking people over strangely amused me I must be six. though I thought it a little dull to be able to control lightning over half a mile.

Enjoyed the first one despite the horrendous aliasing. Look forward to a sequel.

    Best superhero game on consoles.
Bought prototype afterwards for a bit more sandbox superpower action, but that was just bollocks.
