SMT: Devil Summoner for Europe
PS2 RPG in April.
The next game in the Shin Megami Tensei series will be coming to Europe courtesy of Koei, who has announced a 27th April release date for the PS2 RPG.
SMT: Devil Summoner - Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army will feature a more action orientated experience than previous titles, introducing arcade-style combo attacks in addition to magical and special abilities deployed in a familiar RPG fashion.
You'll play as Raidou Kuzunoha The 14th in early 20th century Japan, taking on the role of detective in what appears to be a straightforward kidnapping case, but naturally turns out to be much more. This dark and intriguing storyline coupled with your ability to stun and capture progressively more powerful demons is what will make Devil Summoner another essential purchase, Koei reckons.
"Games as impressive as this one deserve to reach a wide audience across the globe and this only serves to strengthen our position as a leading publisher of first-rate RPGs in Europe," said Naoki Katashima, senior vice president of Koei Europe.
You can get a look at the recent screenshots over in our gallery for the game.
The most recent release in the Shin Megami Tensei series, SMT: Digital Devil Saga 2, received glowing praise from us. It's due out on 2nd March and marks another strong release for the age-defying PlayStation 2.

That reminds me, I've also seen Ar Tonelico listed on play.com. This another Koei UK release? I've not seen any other kind of confirmation for it, but it seems inline with their Atelier Iris-type releases.

nope... 505, this time, at least going by this boxart I've seen knocking around:
http://im g528.imageshack.us/img528/117/p...
interestingly it used to be listed as Koei on play.com (they don't actually show the publisher info on their own site, but if you search through something like kelkoo you can see it) but then they also spelt it as "Air Tonelico". and they're pretty well known for adding games based on wild speculation (see also Namco x Capcom, damn them for getting my hopes up)

Where'd you get that picture from, aine? 505's site is crap since they redid it, they never update it with new info.

not sure tbh, i think it was an online store... possibly an italian one. i should have bookmarked it. ah well.
edit - wait, no it wasn't. http://www.halifax.it - it's the site of the distribution arm of digital bros (505's parent company). it has a few games that haven't showed up anywhere else - mostly cartoon licensed shite and poker games, but there's some interesting stuff in there.

That site also shows Ikusagami coming out as Demon Chaos, published by Konami.
(I'm assuming that it'll be released in the UK too, though it would be nice to have confirmation).
I know Ikusagami didnt get massively great reviews, but I still wanna see those 65565 onscreen enemies on the PS2!
