SEGA Rally PC demo alive

Churning up keyboard turf.

Those of you wondering whether you want to buy SEGA Rally on PC can now test-drive it in a new demo.

It will cost you about 554MB in space, and give you a chance to ride recklessly around a muddy garden in a car for a while.

On your way around the shrubbery you will probably like to notice the new physics SEGA has been boasting about. This futuristic concept makes your wheels churn up the surface as you skid and slide around it.

It was one of the reasons we gave it such a high mark when we reviewed it a couple of weeks ago, heralding its return as bloody good fun.

Cruise past our SEGA Rally review to find out more.

    First! (never been first, and probably because no one is that fussed with this news)

    I was going to get this, see how it played with the G25. Already a bit through on 360 though.

    But the demo has been available for a few days now...

    Played the demo and it did indeed seem good. One question I have to ask though is does the full version have proper settings for configuring pads other then 360 one. I had to resort to fiddling with joy2key to use mine in the demo.

    ^ I don't think so, but I returned my copy so I can't verify.

    The game ran like a slideshow on my PC ;_;

    Maybe I'm stupid but... where's the link to the demo? I can't find it ^___^;

    This demo runs far too fast on my PC, ultimately causing it to blue screen with a Stop error. I'm using Windows XP SP 2 (I refuse to play games on the "bloated" Vista even though I'm dual-booting) and I have a 2GB, Athlon64 X2 4200+ system with a 512 MB GeForce 7900 GT graphics card. I'm playing it with the wireless Xbox 360 controller too, which the game nicely supports from the off! It looks fantastic on max. detail @ 1680x1050 with 2X AA - nicer than the 360 version I own, in fact - but the damn thing doesn't run long enough for me to appreciate the game properly! Is anyone else having problems with it?
