Q Entertainment has excitingly told us that Rez HD will be out in "only a few weeks".
Well, we say told us, but Joystiq spilled the news, claiming it will cost 800 Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.30) on arrival.
You know by now that this is the Live Arcade revamp of Tetsuya Mizuguchi's famous musical shooter Rez, which came with a fantastic trance vibrator peripheral. This you used to, er, oh, vibrate in time to the music while you, er, hold it. In your hand.
Anyway, none of that, but you will be able to make up to three other 360 pads vibrate while you play, which is useful for your friends. Somehow.

My original Trance Vibrator is USB, surely a little line or two of code would let you plug it in and buzz one off.
Tetsuya said at the time it's best under a bare foot. |

@Wizballs: It's Rez in HD, with no other tweaks at all to the standard game as default. The original version is included too - if only to confirm how much sharper the HD version is in 1080p.
@kiroquai: I seem to recall reading that Ikaruga should be out sometime in January, but I could easily be mistaken. It turned up on PartnerNet on Friday (which sometimes heralds a game's imminent release (but often doesn't admittedly)). |

Hoorah! Already have the Dreamcast and PS2 versions, so I'm really looking forward to this one.
(No, really. I am. I'm queuing up more download credits as we speak. Well...as soon as Live is back up and running.) What I really want though, in my heart of hearts, is to play this on an IMAX theater screen. They'll need a mop to clean up the joy. |
