Realtime Worlds hints at APB for E3
Urban MMO ready to reveal?
Realtime Worlds has teasingly suggested to Eurogamer that All Points Bulletin may be shown at E3, which would provide our first real glimpse of the promising urban MMO.
"I couldn't possibly comment at the moment," boss Colin MacDonald said of rumours that APB will feature during the Microsoft E3 Conference.
"But if we happened to be going, I'm sure we would make it known before too much longer, and we'd certainly give Eurogamer a shout to try to meet up." It's a bit like trying to shake and nod your head at the same time.
Realtime Worlds was working on All Points Bulletin long before the release of Crackdown for Xbox 360. APB development is being lead by Dave Jones, who helped create Grand Theft Auto many moons ago at DMA Design.
We know the world will feature two warring factions - Enforcement and Criminals - and that sub-groups can be formed from them.
Colin MacDonald has said APB is "the bastard child of everything we've been striving towards over the 15-20 years that Realtime Worlds, DMA and David Jones have been making games".
Pair that enthusiasm and refreshing setting with the track record of the studio, and the results should be well worth waiting for.
APB is in development for PC and console. No release date has been set.
