Just Cause 2 demo tops bill. I suppose when that is the title, I'd be struck dumb, too. I mean, what is wrong with people?

Ah sweet, I'm really looking forward to Just Cause 2, I didn't think a demo was going to be available so soon. I'll get it if my copy of Battlefield still hasn't arrived!
  • KreyAtiv #9 2 years ago

Could have done without the 30 minute timer on the demo.
  • darleysam #10 2 years ago

JC2 is up on Live too, right?
  • kangarootoo #11 2 years ago

"Could have done without the 30 minute timer on the demo."

    Nooooooooooo!

I was 2 seconds away from writing "I hope the demo isn't time limited".

    Phooey!
  • cherryuk #13 2 years ago

nothing again, what crap psn is
  • glaeken #14 2 years ago

The first game had a time limited demo so I am not surprised this is the same. I presume you can keep restarting it though?

I do hear that apparently if you do really well in he demo it gives you extra time but its only in the order of 5 minutes so not much really.
  • NorUraeus #15 2 years ago

@cherryuk: I never understand what people like you expect from a service like PSN. But to be clear, a full game of your dreams being released every week will never happen.

    no HR:chronicles then? :(
  • cairbre1977 #17 2 years ago

Tried to download it from xbox live but you have to be a gold member and I let it lapse cos I am back on the pc. Downloading the PS3 version now. Look forward to giving it a go. How are people finding it?
  • the_mtfr #18 2 years ago

I'd like to buy Age of Booty for PC but it has this ridiculously limiting DRM, so just, fuck it man, my money is gonna go somewhere else.

Is it safe to redeem the heavy rain voucher now?

Is it safe to redeem the heavy rain voucher now?

I kinda wanna download the soundtrack.
  • tossetaz #21 2 years ago

JohnnyWashnGo: yeah i think it is, I received a new code from the customer support since I had redeemed it before it got fixed

Why in the world should there be Just Cause apologists? The first was a disaster of a game if you judge it for gameplay. If you like pretty graphics and a big gameworld, then its great, I suppose. Oh, a desire to do shallow, meaningless derivative missions can only be a plus, too in the venture of the original Just Cause.
  • Andrefpvs #23 2 years ago

Hey guys, anyone here played Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgement already? What would your opinion of it be?
  • NewbieZilla #24 2 years ago

Great response. Giving my post a minus. Well worded and competent rebuttal.
  • captainrentboy #25 2 years ago

Just Cause demo is fun, it took me a few goes to actually get around to doing a couple of missions rather than just pissing about flying helicopters and shit! The gameworld seems to be flipping huuuge and, going from the icons shown at the end if the demo, pretty densely packed with missions.
  • NewbieZilla #26 2 years ago

Tell me, are the missions in it actually fun? Or are they derivative like the original? I'd like a response to this one as a side order to the minus I know will be inevitable.
  • Rodchenko #27 2 years ago

Personally I don't care about the missions (yet). I could double-grapple jet canisters and other objects all day long and watch how stuff blows up. Fantastic demo. Only the cars are a bit sensitive on the steering (bikes are spot on, though)
  • Caimbeul #28 2 years ago

just logged on to XBL and the demo is there also but only for gold members :-(

    guess its for PS3 then.
  • kangarootoo #29 2 years ago

    @NewbieZilla

If the gameplay is fun, that is enough for many. The missions in the first one were repetative, but many aspects of the game were fun, so it made for a great rental.

You didn't find it so fun - fair enough - others did, that doesn't make them apologists. Agree to disgagree, and stop crying about your neg points ffs.
  • NewbieZilla #30 2 years ago

Thank you, an actual response. That tends to say more than merely responding with a neg. The only capacity I can understand people finding good gameplay was in one gimmick that worked somewhat well. Oh, as an aside, you may not have noticed what I said in my previous post. Least it doesn't come across like you did, so I'll repeat it. "I'd like a response to this one as a side order to the minus I know will be inevitable." I don't give a damn about what feedback I get, I would like an articulate response in text format to actually say something. I'm crazy like that.

Played the JC2 demo alot lastnight! Amazing fun, I'd been looking forward to this for months, will defintely be buying the full game.

Just ONE thing bugs me...he cannot pull himself up a ledge that is within range of his jumping height!? Why oh why? I mean, I have to grapple myself up there, and if I'm being chased for some health recovery, having to aim my grapple in a panic can be a bit of an inconvenience, how difficult can it be to a a simple, fast, climbing animation, c'mon, you know you want it!
  • kangarootoo #32 2 years ago

    @NewbieZilla

Well I agree with you 100% that just giving negs to something you disagree with, instead of discussion the matter, somewhat defeats the whole point of these pages.

All the same, I would just ignore negs. Complaining about them will just compound the issue.
