Ninja Gaiden on US PS3 Store

Demos hit for Sigma and VT.

As promised a little under a month ago, Tecmo has thrust a demo of Ninja Gaiden Sigma onto the US and Japanese PlayStation 3 Stores.

The demo features the first level of the full game, runs in 1080p resolution and is stocked with new weapons and combos, according to Tecmo, which should give both existing fans and newcomers something to take interest in.

The full game's due out in Europe from Eidos this summer, although the publisher recently admitted that there are no current plans to bring a special-edition version - due out in the US - to the UK.

There's currently no word on when the UK PS3 Store will see the Sigma demo, with Sony unable to clarify last time we asked.

Meanwhile, US PS3 owners can also check out a demo of the frankly wonderful Virtua Tennis 3, or um and aah their way through trailers for Gauntlet II, The Wheelman, John Woo's Stranglehold and The Godfather.

Virtua Tennis 3 is out now on PS3 as well as Xbox 360, although those of you who want multiplayer gaming and have the choice of both consoles might want to opt for the 360 version - both run in heavenly 1080p, but only the latter offers online multiplay.

    You do realise that 720p is actually higher resolution that 1080i.

    I created a new user for both account , so i have 3 users.

    What you need tho is a US & Japanese address.

    I started downloading NGS this morning from my US account but it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow, only reached 7% after 20 minutes when I had to leave for work. Normally I've been able to download demos really quickly. It sucks that it takes that long because you cannot play any games on the PS3 while you wait... and I'll be itching to get back to the sublime God of War II. Might leave NGS downloading overnight I think...

    And it's nice that the US and Japan get all these lovely demos and trailers but what the hell has happened to the UK PS Store? Have Sony completely forgotten about us... it's bearly seen any new content in the past four weeks and certainly no new playable demos...?

    Download the demo from US store as it has decapitations.

    Is there any differnces between the US and Jap versions. I have downloaded 70%(Jap) and will start it again when I get home, soooo slooow yesterday.

    re creating jap account:
    You don't need a real japaneese address. Just type any word into the boxes.

    Just created a US account and was amazed to see how many demoes and trailers are available than EU PS3 owners do not have access to yet. Get it together, Sony!

    JYM60, you can chop off enemies heads in the US version but the japanese version you cant, i believe they aren't allowed to have such things in games, which seems a bit bizzare from watching lots of asian cinema.

    edit: demo is the first level from the original but its as fun as ever, leaderboards are nice touch for the demo too.

    Am I right in thinking that resistance had blood removed in Japan.

    Regarding psStore. The only thing that is annoying is that US and Japan will get the full download games before us. I dont care if they get demos first because its still possible for us but it will be very annoying if they get, Calling all cars, Warhawk, or even Home and LBP.

    The NGS demo illustrates one thing: Screen-tearing is not a Xbox 360 exclusive "feature" ;)

    Hope they will solve this before release.

    (And no... it's NOT my HDTV)

    Great game, just like the original box version.............................but thats the problem it doesn't look that far different (textures and lightin improved but no massive gameplay differences), so you would be better of paying a tenner for black if you have a 360 too. It runs in HD albeit 480p but for a tenner you can't go wrong. Hopefully they'll release the new 360 one on the ps3 too. that'll be worth the full 40 quid if they use the graphical muscle to it's full extent.

    that was the biggest pain in the originals. I just like to give a neutral view as I was licky (should be lucky but works both ways) enough for the mrs to get both the 360 and the ps3.

    Finally people complaining about PS3 online?" wow.. amazing. I thought it was great... shit. ANyways. How do you like the game the rest of us enjoyed 3-4 years ago? lol Ninja Gaiden 2 better be coming out soon for 360 and wont be delayed just for that remake of yours. That would suck.
