Next PixelJunk named Shooter
Will have co-op multiplayer.
Q-Games boss Dylan Cuthbert has revealed on the US PlayStation Blog that his studio's next PSN game will be called PixelJunk Shooter and will have a co-op mode.
The game formerly known as PixelJunk 1-4 was named through a competition on the Q-Games website. Runner-up monikers were PixelJuink S.O.S!, PixelJunk Blaster, PixelJunk Caves, PixelJunk Atlantis and PixelJunk Depths, which apparently came close to winning. The most popular suggestion was PixelJunk Elements, but Q worried that it might sound like "a game about the weather".
Pixel-Junk Shooter is a game in which you explore undergound caverns, shooting stuff and manipulating flows of water and lava to save stranded explorers and navigate the caves. We played it at last month's Sony preview event and loved it.
Cuthbert promises that a newer demo, including the unexplained co-op play, will be on show at E3 next week. In the meantime, check out the video and screens at the newly renamed PixelJunk Shooter gamepage. There's no release date as yet.

I hope this will have online co-op. Either way, based on their last couple of games I will almost certainly get it.

Each new addition to the Pixeljunk has been drawing me inexorably closer to a purchase.
Me too, their games remind me of old school games from the Speccy/C64/Amiga/ST era. With games like God of War (never played any of them) and Uncharted/Uncharted 2 I'm seriously tempted to get a PS3/PS3LOL to go alongside my 360/360LOL (delete as applicable to your own fanboy fetish).
€400 price tag is the only thing stopping me now.
