Halo 3 and FFXIII at E3?
Release date claims, too.
With E3 just weeks away now, everyone and his blog's got a theory about what's going to be shown - and two of the most interesting rumours are about a pair of rather inevitable sequels.
Last night, IGN declared fairly confidently that Halo 3 would be released in March 2007, citing an anonymous Microsoft source and a second source close to the company - and added that it believes a video of the game will be shown at E3.
Microsoft's obviously not saying anything about that - it doesn't comment on rumour and speculation, donchaknow - but it's certainly a possibility.
Although, er, Peter Moore did say this last week: "I think certainly this year, 2006, we might give you a peek at what Bungie is working on." So there you go.
Next, there's US mag EGM, which claims that we can expect to see Final Fantasy XIII announced for PlayStation 3 during E3, complete with a teaser video.
Square-Enix has said nothing about this - it's only just shipped Final Fantasy XII on PS2, after all - but that is the rumour 1UP's reporting, so there you go.
A bit far-fetched? We'll find out in May.

Im no chav, in fact I got beaten up by one of them scumbags yesterday for no reason whatsoever leaving me with a suspected fractured knee bone and wrist.
I hated Halo, it was generic pant kebab which paled compared to even the basicest FPS on PC, yet I love the GTA games. Spent months on GTA:SA to get 100% on it but I wouldnt call me a chav far from it..

Chavs are pathetic idiots that look more pathetic than they sound and do not have the intelligence to even work a joypad then complete a game.
The closest a Chav gets to a 360 is when he nicks it from a house then sells it on for more money to get Burbery Caps and sovereign rings (Nice)...!

Plus the mentality of the chavs of today is "that fekr grassed me up init he be gerrin it bak!" so no point really. It only happened 3 mins away from my house so chances are he lives around here which aint reassuring..

FFXIII - I doubt it. FFXII just came out after all.

Chav thought that we had been mouthing them off even though we had just got off the damned bus and hadnt opened our mouthes or even made eye contact with them!
Shame I dont know who it was, I got a couple of contacts who can more than likely make him regret it..

Both those games will be overshadowed by original content, Too Human particularly.

And Blerk, be fair, X was out within 18 months of the PS2 launch, and VII almost within 2 years of the PS launch.
/turns off pointless optimism.

I remember the early 90s when the Japanese made good games...
Anyhow, FFXIII can go take an acid bath for all I care - bring on Lost Odyssey! Seriously, that game's looking to be truly awesome. Oriental characters who look Oriental [and Human]! A story developed by an award winning professional writer! Music by the one person who kept FFVIII-XII discs from being used as coasters, Nobuo Uematsu! Oh, and it's being made by the guy who started the FF series. Joy!
Oh, and Halo 3 should be pretty nice too. I mean, how can it not be? The people who invented the story-based FPS [Marathon], who mastered console FPS control systems [Halo], who perfected console multiplayer [Halo 2] and who... cloned Pong [Gnop!]. Frankly only the most hardened PC/PS fanboy could really deny the Halo series' overwhelming merit, just as only a fanboy would ignore Half Life 2 or Soul Calibur [among others] on a list of the greatest games.

Heh, I remember when Square announced three new Final Fantasy games (IX, X and XI) at the same time. Was probably less than a year after VIII was released. All three of them were released within 4 years too!
