Midway on Wii Rampage
This winter.
Midway has confirmed reports that Rampage: Total Destruction - its modern update to the arcade title of the same name - will be coming to Nintendo Wii "this winter".
The game will feature ten more creatures than previous editions, for a total of 40, along with seven different city backdrops, including Chicago, Hong Kong and London. As you'll remember, the idea is to go around smashing them up to free other monsties.
There's no word on how the Wii's unique remote control wojim will be taken advantage of, but Midway is certainly promising improved graphics.
The Wii version of Rampage will be Midway's second big announcement for the system this week - earlier we heard that Mortal Kombat: Armageddon would be making an appearance in Q1 2007.

If it requires you to bash and shake the Wiimote violently, I'm in."

Exactly!
The possibilities of the Wii remote for this title should not be ignored!!! Just think of what they could do with it!
Not utilizing the Wii remote 100% for this game would really be a missed opportunity for Midway

So NOW im being accused of being "anti-wii"? Geesus, i wish u guys would make up yer minds!
All im saying is, that rampage has never been good.. Even on back in the spectrum days the gameplay was basic to say the least! No version of it has ever been good. And I doubt it ever will be good.
Thats not me "trolling". That's me stating my opinion that it is a bad game, and every iteration of it has been bad. And it's not just my opinion either, I've just done a quick ign search
Rampage Total Destruction - 5/10
Rampage through time - 3.5/10
Rampage 2 Universal Tour - 5.2/10
Rampage World Tour - 3/10
Not really the basis of a GOOD game is it?
So how the hell is me saying that all versions so far have been crap, and therefor not worth trying a new one "trolling"?
Or is someone expressing their own opinion (which disagress with everyone else) on a board nowadays a bad thing (in case it upsets the poor little kids.. boo hoo!)
I bet I dont get an answer to this - dont cry.. i'm sure someone will the boo boo better for you.
*sigh*

Shite graphics with, what I assume, mindlessly waving around the Wii controller to destroy stuff.
You'd have to drink a lot of Nintendo Kool-aid for this not to get old pretty quickly.
I hope (for their sake) Nintendo know what they're doing. What worked for the DS may not necessarily work for the home consoles - the requirements of the two markets are quite distinct and separate (although they may appear to be superficially the same).

That doesnt mean because the wii has a crap game or two that it makes the console crap does it?
If that was true, the ps2 would be absolute bobbins.. oh wait
(joke fanboys joke)
