Modern Warfare 2 DLC in spring 2010
"Wonderfully vague," says Bowling.
Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has confirmed the first batch of Modern Warfare 2 DLC for spring 2010.
"DLC is planned for the wonderfully vague time-frame of spring. I'll let you know when we know when it'll be done," he Tweeted, confirming reports from earlier this year.
As to what the DLC will bring, no one knows, although hackers did recently find code within the game for game-types Global Thermonuclear War (capture the nuke), One Flag (capture the flag) and VIP (protect/kill the VIP).
Bowling has also previously said that Spec Ops DLC is an option Infinity Ward would "totally" consider.
"So I mean, once the game is out we're going to take a little break and play with everybody and see what they want more of. I mean, if everybody's clamouring for more Spec Ops missions, that's something we're going to look at," he said.

Ick. This almost sounds like some new sexual euphemism i'm unfamiliar with.........
"filling Kotick's wallet" (slang). Definition: To pay to watch someone roll around in money whilst laughing at you as they pleasure themselves.

But if I do stick around I definitely hope there's going to be some great new maps. MW2 has a few too many that are pretty lacklustre in my opinion, and at least one I find absolutely horrible for any of the game types I play (I'm looking at you Afghan).

Because the improvements in the multiplayer are good enough that I might never go back. Kept hold of my copy though.
Some of those CoD4 maps though, they're burned into my brain - Downpour and Overgrown especially.

Does seem a while until they will release DLC, perhaps they dont want to be seen to be taking advantage.

Campaign is more interesting and in MP it feels more like everyone is on an even playing field, rather than higher level players with heartbeat sensors and the best perks knowing where you are before you do.

...and will contain the remainder of the criminally short single player campaign that was deliberately cut to be sold as DLC?
