Microsoft lists third-party Kinect titles
Sports! Fitness! Dance! Repeat!
Microsoft has revealed the identities of a number of third-party titles being made available for Kinect this Christmas.
Along with the first-party stuff we've played, gamers will be able to choose from a wide range of, er, sports, fitness and dance games. Well done everyone.
The ones named in Microsoft press release are EA Sports Active 2 from EA, Dance Masters from Konami, Deca Sports Freedom from Hudson, Adrenalin Misfits from Konami, Zumba Fitness from Majesco, Sonic Free Riders from SEGA, The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout from THQ, Motion Sports from Ubisoft, and Game Party: In Motion from Warner Bros.
"We believe fun is a universal magnet that binds us together," Don Mattrick said during Microsoft's E3 conference. It evidently brings ideas closer to one another at any rate.

Love the new 360 slim but Klenex is a big no go at the moment, upset more than anything as I was really looking forward to it!

I don't get who they are hoping to attract with this line-up, is it really going to pull in the crowd that have bought a Wii already?

Nice opportunities though for comparison, as there's plenty of games between the Wii, 360 and PS3 that venture to do the same thing with motion controls, lol.
Watching all this, I suddenly get the feeling that Wii HD can't be far off now. And a Wii webcam? Who knows.

Not that I can think of anything myself, but hey, I am no game designer.

The two most expressive parts of our body are our faces and hands, neither of which has good enough tracking in Kinetic for them to be used by the hard. It's a limited system and it was always going to be best for things that require the full body to play them.
I got home knackered today - I've been out doing sports for the last three days and it was a huge relief to slump on the sofa and bung on Army Of Two 2 and blast some generic baddies with my housemate. Maybe some days I will want to jump around in front of the TV, but this is not that day.
I am looking forward to a decent yoga, pilates, or tai chi trainer on Kinetic. I'm sure someone must be making one of them. That might tempt me. At the moment it's all a little too frantic sounding.

I dont, its not that easy to implement hardcore gameplay into a non controller, that is part of the problem. If they can it will only be little bits (like head tracking or voice control) and thats not really worth the cost of the device if you are only interested in gameplay.

But if anything this looks like bad launch title lineup management by whoever is handling the program overall... Why more than one fitness title at launch, etc.

The swanky new 360 though? Count me in.
