Max Payne 3 slips out of 2010
Take-Two reveals all in financial report.
Take-Two has listed all the games it plans to release during the rest of the financial year - and Max Payne 3 is nowhere to be seen.
"While we do not take the movement of any title lightly, our recent success with Red Dead Redemption illustrates the importance and the benefit of giving a title the time it needs in order to fulfill its potential in the marketplace," said bossman Ben Feder.
Back in March, Take-Two said Max Payne 3 would be out by the end of the fourth financial quarter on 31st October. Now that's no longer the case and there's no word on a new release date.
Ah well. There's still Civilization V, LA Noire, Mafia II, NBA 2K11 and NHL2K11 to look forward to, all of which are still on track for a release this year. Not to mention New Carnival Games.
Take-Two's net revenues were up by 54 per cent in the last quarter, reaching $268 million. The publisher attributed the rise to sales of BioShock 2 and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, plus the continuing popularity of GTA V and NBA 2K10.

Hopefully they listened to our moaning and re-do at least Max.
I find it funny that they actually earn money while Ubisoft still burns it (they had a loss again in Q4 2009).

Great isn't it
Shame MP3 is delayed, still gives me time to actually get round to finishing MP1 & 2 I got at in a Steam sale and still not dented!

As much as I loved MP2 (one of my favourite games ever in fact), I lost interest when they handed it over to Rockstar, not that I have anything against their games but I imagine they'll take the series in a different direction.

Shame about MP3 though, I was looking forward to some more bullet time, although now I'm not sure if he would be able to do all that diving about without breaking his hip or something.

Oh, no Max Payne set in daylight and sunshine, a bald bearded guy with a wife-beater all 'roided-out, the pain! (honestly no pun intended) So sad, so sad...
