The Lost Planet 2 multiplayer demo is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace.

The file is only 537MB, which shouldn't take too long, and can be queued for download from the Xbox website.

Lost Planet 2 allows four people to team up throughout the whole campaign. But, in this demo, you'll be going head-to-head with up to 15 other people on the Turbulent Jungle map. Modes available are Elimination and Post Grab.

There are new VS mechs to stomp around in, weapons to shoot and support items to utilise.

Give it a go. Lost Planet 2 is due out proper on 11th May.

@Rich This is the same MP demo that was released to a select few earlier. EG had a key giveaway for the same.

Not many people were left playing that after a few days. But it was great fun. Put the game on my radar.

Queue the demo here if you're a Gold subscriber.

And it looks like it is different to the last one. It's at least 233MB different anyway!

Naughty Eurogamer, forgotten to mention that Capcom have pledged to donate up to $25,000 to the 'Music for Relief' fund if enough people download this demo. Don't know who the heck they are but as long as it isn't a global bank them I'm ok with it

I'm not sure if i'm the only person though that actually liked the snow setting in the first game and am a little sad to see this is now on the backburner as it's unfortunately just made it a little more generic. Hope the snow that is left makes for a great experience

a game or two and I was done with this... seemed unbalanced and un-fun: that'd seem to be the prevailing opinion on the forum too. Maybe it'll get better as an experience with more UK players available to host. Should really give it another chance.

I've already played a demo on 360 and PS3, both of which had different levels I believe. Don't think I am interested in a third, didn't seem like a game for me

Its a Team Deathmatch demo.

I'm really trying hard to like LP2, but something just isn't clicking for me. The controls just don't feel right, the aiming of your weapons is imprecise, when one person gets a VS the game becomes staggeringly unbalanced . . .

Its a gorgeous game. I like the visuals, I like the 4 player co-op, I like the mech suits, I like everything about it . . . on paper. But the first demo and now this one just aren't working for me.

The mp demands some practice but imprecise it aint. Loved LP MP.
