Last Beatles: RB song revealed

Yes, the list has finally come to an End.

Lucky fans playing The Beatles: Rock Band a week early have revealed the last, secret song on the disc.

That recording is "The End", apparently - the penultimate track on side two of Abbey Road, thank you wikipedia.

Evidence is a photo of the song in-game on the Rock Band forum courtesy of Kotaku and its beady eyes. Harmonix has refused to comment.

MTV and Harmonix had purposely been holding this song back from the public, after revealing the rest of the tracklist without hesitation.

The Beatles: Rock Band surfaces around the world on 9th September for PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.

How have some fans got it early, and how can I go about getting it early?

Ah fuck it I'll just wait til Wednesday, gonna be excellent!

Some of us were trying to leave it as a surprise with Harmonix intentionally leaving it off the song list.
Any now after resisting reading it on every other news site all day you have to go and stick it in your front page because you can resist a pun.
    Thanks a lot.

You should know The End is the penultimate track on abbey road! Shame!

It was actually meant to be the last one, an engineer stuck her majesty on the end because he was told not to waste anything recorded, Lennon intended it earlier in-between some of the earlier tracks but loved the weirdness of it being at the end.

Ok I should get out more.

Isn't that really short though? Just a footnote at the end of the B-Side Medley (hope it doesn't get left off this now as a result).

EDIT: Meaning The End, that is. Obviously Her Majesty is definitely short.

Rpt81 - it's not that short. A three way guitar solo with John, Paul and George all taking turns and Ringo's only drum solo. I had planned on buying the Abbey Road DLC purely for The End!

    carlisledave - lucky you ;-)

I really wanted We Can Work It Out.

Oh well... DLC it will be on.
  • carlisledave #8 2 years ago

Yeah, but I'll probably just end up buying it anyway!

    No Hey Jude is lame.

Apparently its a fake and the screen has been photoshoped. ScoreHero have done it before and I wouldnt take anything as gospel unless its straight from the mouth of Harmonix.

If you hold down A, X and the D-pad at the same time you unlock Pete Best.

Got this in at work earlier. Full band. Scanned at £90 though :(

Meaning its a dummy price that if you actually bought one the company would tear you a new asshole.

    I was crying :(

I expect I confused myself because there's not much in the way of vocals on it. Just the "Oh yeah, alright" bit at the start, then the "And in the End" bit later on. Must give Abbey Road a listen tonight as well, great album.
