Jumpgate Evolution gets June date
Space combat MMO nears launch.
Codemasters has revealed that Jumpgate Evolution - NetDevil's space combat MMO - will launch in June of this year.
That makes June a big month for MMO launches, with Atari bringing us superhero romp Champions Online in the same time-frame.
Jumpgate Evolution - a remake of NetDevil's first, cult release - will bring "breath-taking visuals and innovative twitch-based space combat" to massively-multiplayer gaming, according to the press release. In other words, it's online Elite or X-Wing, and promises to be EVE's simpler, more trigger-happy twin.
You can find an interview, preview and more at the Jumpgate Evolution gamepage. Expect the closed beta test to begin soon; we'll bring you hands-on impressions as soon as we can.
