Blasted into January.

Sierra Entertainment has pushed the release of Geometry Wars: Galaxies back to 18th January, 2008.

It was previously lurking on DS and Wii calendars in the unconvincing period of Q4 2007, and even made its way onto our Christmas buyer's guide list - much like other Wii slipper Zack & Wiki.

Depressing, then, but only because it will probably be very good fun. Imagine the Geometry Wars blasting fun mixed with a campaign mode made up of 60 planets and many more power-ups.

You can also link DS and Wii versions together and use Wi-Fi to unlock bonus levels or download Retro Evolved using a GameShare system we don't understand.

Excellent, that means more pre-Christmas cash freed up for other titles and the post-Christmas lull is looking anything but.

Wow, the Wii chrimbo line up just keeps getting better and better.
Then again the Wii could literally have just Wii sports available for it, and it would still sell millions this Christmas, this is what happens when you successfully market a product towards fat middle aged women, and dribbling oaps, who generally just can't grasp the concept of a controller with more than four buttons.

Good, this may give them a chance to sell more, plus the early next year Wii schedule won't be as bleak as usual for the period.

Looks like its out in the US next week on Wii and DS the week after, so it's only messed up for Europe...that sounds right.....DS on import for me then and a wait till the new year for the Wii.....

Always was..these delays were revealed a month or so ago. Most people at the time wondered why on earth they were on the list when they were already known to be 2008 releases.
