Say hello to Agent.

Sony has announced a new PlayStation 3 exclusive from Rockstar North called Agent during its ongoing E3 conference.

According to SCEA boss Jack Tretton, it "will take a player across the globe amid the shadowy world of espionage and assassins in the darkest hours of the 1970s".

Rockstar kept its distance from the conference - although it usually does, preferring to show games in its own way later.

Mentioning GTA's impact on PlayStation, Tretton added: "We expect Agent to have the same must-have value."

Terms of the exclusive weren't discussed, so we don't know if it will turn up on Xbox 360 or PC some day, and we also have nothing on a release date just yet.

After all the shit that GTA got for going exclusive, suddenly its the PS3 and what one comment? Wheres the uproar

Cold War spy then. I want to see pics or footage.
Wonder if this is a timed exclusive though. Most Rockstar games have eventually found their way onto the PC.

I think R* owe Sony an exclusive IP (something agreed in a contract ages ago). No idea what's happening with LA Noir though.

oooh the shadowly world of....exclusives!!!

seriously, this will end up on the 360 in the end...

remember last year when ms said that fallout 3 had exclusive dlc? well looky here! seems that sonys getting that 'exclusive' dlc too, and possibly the gta4 dlc stuff to boot...

exclusives, are only exclusive until the check clears....

As long as we get more games I'm a happy boy! tbh I think Sony blew their load here though...pointless to announce it without something to show. They could at least have run a few clips from that 70's show with Jackie and Donna being all shadowy and naked or something...lol

We know nothing at all about this game. It could end up being like Manhunt, or something.

Yeah, because we all know that hardcore gamers really appreciate target renders that look amazing and turn out to be quite accurate...

Although now I see R* Vancouver is also listed as the developer for Bully. But anyway R* North made the GTA series on PS2/xbox so this one should be good.
