Conan demos next week News

Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 News by Robert Purchese

5 October, 2007

THQ has said it will be unleashing demos for Conan next week.

Those of you on Live will be able to get your hands on its muscularity on 8th October, followed by a bulge in the PlayStation Network on the 11th.

Conan was released in Europe a couple of weeks ago, and proved to be a solid and entertaining effort. It wasn't really ambitious enough to ever topple a game like God of War, and missed some key ingredients like co-operative or multiplayer modes, but its gory and tongue-in-cheek blend of third-person hackandslash kept us smiling nonetheless.

Head over to our Conan review to find out more.

So we'll get it next week? Just like we got Bladestorm yesterday except we DIDN'T? I'll believe it when I see it.

That said, it's likely to be the publishers fault if it doesn't, and I can't see THQ missing it.

My copy is somewhere between Jersey and Dublin right now. Really looking forward to this one even though I know it's not the best game in the world. But hey; it's got Ron Perlman in it. And boobs.

Good job. Mixed reviews and comments prevented me from parting with £35

I was quite interested in this, until the review implied that you don't get to drive your enemies before you and listen to the lamentations of their women.

If you like God of War or Heavenly Sword type game this is good fun, lots of blood and gore with boobs thrown in.

Really I would buy it for Ron Perlman alone, the gore and boobs is a neat bonus.

Are you saying the "Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War (Demo)" entry I have under "Games" in the XMB after going to the PS Store on Thursday evening does not exist?

Who cares, the Bladestorm demo is the biggest waste of almost 2 gigs of HDD space yet...

It's a great game if you like this sort of thing. More NG than a straight hack and slasher, you have to choose your attacks carefully.

I absolutely love it. It's a cross between GoW, NG and MK: Shaolin Monks. Gets bloody hard too. Sure it looks a bit ropey but it's good solid old-skool fun.

I got this yesterday and pretty impressed with it so far - traded a couple of games in for it so it only actually cost me £2 in the end.... although I got the 360 version as the PS3 version was £49.99???!!!???
