COD:WAW map packs cheap this week News

Xbox 360 News by Robert Purchese

27 October, 2009

Activision has halved the price of all three Call of Duty: World at War map packs on Xbox Live Marketplace, an offer that runs until 1st November.

Each batch now costs only 400 Microsoft Points (£3.40/€4.80), and can be browsed and queued for download on the Xbox website.

The stars of the map packs are the Nazi zombies, which attack in increasing waves that you and your friends must fend off co-operatively.

Check out our review of the first COD:WAW map pack for an idea of what to expect.

As much as I enjoy the maps, I should have waited to download the second one as I haven't even spent 10 minutes playing them. Still, I might as well complete the set while it's cheap, good excuse to prepare for MW2.

Map pack 3 is easily the best of the lot.

All the map packs are now in rotation in the map pack section when choosing the type of game you want to play.
