Capcom's 360 triple-pack is US-only

"We're not doing it here," says Euro arm.

Capcom has told Eurogamer that the Xbox 360 wallet-friendly Platinum Hits Triple Pack is "a US-only endeavour".

"We're not doing it here," the spokesperson added.

The Triple Pack stuffs Dead Rising, Lost Planet (Colonies Edition) and Devil May Cry 4 into one budget-priced package. This, as we told you earlier, launches in the US on 8th September for $39.99.

Companies should start putting "US only" into their original press releases to stop us "rest of the worlder"s getting permamently annoyed as our hopes are continuosly dashed.

    ... yet?

I'll buy DR and DMC4 for a fiver each second hand at some point then. Capcom obviously don't like European money.

i don't get it. production and shipping costs are no different than for a US release, localization has already been done for all 3 of these games, just slap a different product code and sell it ffs. or at least make it region free..

there's 3 games i haven't gotten around to play yet in this bundle and i want it

I wish Eurogamer would stick to Euro-news (the name does imply it), instead of regurgitating rumours via GAF and Kotaku and then only noticing/finding out later that its US-only.

    Location Letdown!

Of course they're not doing it here, games have to cost twice as much as in the US.

Shame. I'm sure they have done their homework, but its still a shame.

Stuff like this is what pushes the second hand market.

    @YobRenoops

    Seconded.

It only takes a phone call before publishing the first article to realise its not relevant to europe (or at the very least, tell us about it for complete news sake, but only use one article to do the job).

Dead Rising: the most annoying game invented since Flicky on the Mega Drive. (Okay, I know it divides people, but I'm not alone on this at least.)

Lost Planet: good while it lasts, but a pretty limited lifespan.

DMC4: felt like I played it all before in the original (overrated) game.

So there's no release in Europe? I can live with that. I've not been excited about Capcom games for many years, which is a shame. I used to love them in the 90s.

Oh well, they won't sell any then.
  • geeza2020 #12 3 years ago

Thanks Capcom! Nice to see you value your EU customers. cunts....

    CEX: "Hooray!"

Honestly, games companies are run by idiots.

LOL. LP had some of the best multiplayer gaming ever. I played the game atleast 50 hours.

edit: The Colonies edition is is also a lot more mp focused than the original game.

Bought got bored and traded all....I would happily buy this bundle (Which wont happen in Europe....shame).

I feel these three games were unfairly treated by me and I need to try and make it up to them, I am so sorry.

Yeah, go suck up to the americans, and stay there.

Already own all three titles anyway, but unfortunate that Europe gets left out... again...

I absolutely agree. Let's have EG doing it's own journalism rather than copy pasting chunks and linking to blog sites as their source of, mostly irrelevant, news. Or better yet, just focus more on reviewing a larger variety of games and leave the copy pasting to us in the forums.
