Burnout gets Euro date
Late January. Smashing.
EA has told Eurogamer that Burnout Paradise will be out here on 25th January.
It follows word from late October that it will be on US shelves on 22nd, complimented by demos for PS3 and 360 sometime this month.
Burnout Paradise is the most ambitious outing in the series so far, presenting car crashers with an open world to zoom around, triggering races by stopping at streetlights or jumping through hoops and that sort of lark. The emphasis being on doing things at your pace and not in a rigid order. Free your minds.
You will also be able to invite your friends over to your world and have an automobile pyjama party, without any loitering in lobbies and all that palaver - they appear on your roads and drive around until you fancy a race.
Very promising is the general consensus, so pop over to our Burnout Paradise gamepage and crash yourself in information.

The game is out in North America in January too! We're getting it THREE DAYS LATER. If you're still complaining from that then grow up please.

It most definitely is, just slightly differently to the balls up that was in the last game.

It's released only 3 days later in Europe, that's a totally reasonable release date. Anyway, PS3 gamers can import a copy if they want since all PS3 games are region free.

Hope that's clear...

I've been trying to crack Flatout: UC, so this will be good preparatory work for Paradise, hopefully.

@ zedzee.
You seem to be contradicting yourself. You're saying the UK is Americanised and will be more so in the future, and then welcoming us to a United States of Europe. o_O

PGR4, Halo 3, Orange Box and Mass Effect are all region free also. It looks like the 360 games are becoming region free more and more now.

I'm not arguing this, I got hold of a region free copy of Call of Duty 3 last year. I'm asking zedzee how you can play NTSC games on an EU 360. As far as I know you can't

play in hd, though, and standards are the same. so the ntsc/pal thing only applies to low-def gaming.
most lowdef 360 games require 60hz now to play, so technically are running ntsc picture format.
edit: i think zedzee may have been on about ps3 anyway not 360, although to make a uk game from a us all hat needs to be changed is the region code

Ahh ok! But i think he meant just our tvs can accept 60hz "NTSC" now.
