Battlestations Pacific demo dated News

PC Xbox 360 News by Robert Purchese

22 April, 2009

Eidos has wired to tell us that Battlestations: Pacific demos for Xbox 360 and PC launch on 30th April [Sorry! - Ed]. The game isn't coming out on PS3, in case you're confused.

The samplers offer one mission from the US campaign, in which an unlucky American carrier fleet is being bombarded by fearless Japanese kamikaze pilots.

Two multiplayer modes - Island Capture and Siege - are also bundled in, although both will only be playable offline against AI bots.

Battlestations: Pacific launches on 15th May, two weeks after the demo.

Zip over to our Battlestations: Pacific gamepage to see what's improved in the series' second instalment.

really enjoyed the first one although couldn't get into the multi player as apposing ships would group together to thwart aerial attacks once they got the upper hand making life impossible and i couldn't pilot a sub to save my life!

Not quite sure how May 30th is two weeks before May 15th...I think you meant to say April 30th. I downloaded the demo of the first today and thought it was quite good, so might have to look out for this one!...

I fancy something in the air (I'm still tempted by Hawx, I liked the demo). I may pick this up.

Much prefer something in space or on one of Jupiter's moons or something though....

Midway was a good, challenging game, albeit it lacked something or other. And the tutorials were deathly. 40GS for doing them and a whore like me can't even bear to sit through each one.

Let's hope this demo explains the controls (the Midway one didn't even try) as I know many people were put off it as a result.
